We are very proud to have been recently featured on the Food Network show, "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives". It was a fantastic experience and we have been humbled by all the positive publicity we have gotten from it since. Even though the shows name is "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" the real premise behind the show is featuing unique restaurants that commit to providing great tasting food using mainly fresh local ingredients. This is definitley our way of doing things at Kitty Hoynes. Our head chef Damien is the master mind behind what we do here and he did a fantastic job in conveying this on the show. We had a great time filming with the Trible D crew and they were all so helpful and friendly. As we say in Ireland, we all had great craic during the time they were here. Guy himself was brilliant and it was a huge pleasure being able to meet him and share in his passion for food. As the man said himself, "We are the real deal Irish pub".
The crew was here for three days and loved tasting all we had to offer, especially the Reuben Fritters and Irish Meatloaf which ended up being the features on the show. It was great to see it all come together when our show first aired in Nov. 2012. Since then we have been slammed with people from all over the country looking to try our "Irish cannon balls".
